Where will you walk my dog?
In the parks or woods. This will be chosen each morning and will vary depending on where you live and which dogs are going to be on the walk.
How long for and how long will my dog be out of the house?
Your dog will be walked for one hour and could be out of the house for a minimum of 1hr and 10 minutes to a maximum of 2 to 3 hrs depending on where we walk.
Who will walk my dog and will I meet them before they start walking my dog?
Your primary walker will be responsible for walking your dog and you will meet them at first contact. If you would like to meet your back up walkers, please ask your primary walker so this can be arranged.
Can my dog have more than one walk a day?
Yes, up to two or possibly three, subject to availability. Each walk is charged individually.
Will you walk my dog with other dogs?
Yes. Each walker is insured to walk 6 dogs at a time.
Will you walk my dog off the lead?
Yes, in the park/woods, with your written consent.
Will you walk/visit my dog at a precise time?
Not usually, as this is not possible. We work very closely with our customers and are happy to accommodate whenever there is space available. However puppies, sick and old dogs are given time priorities.
My dog is entire male. Is this is a problem?
No. Provided he is not, or does not become, aggressive/roaming. Ideally we prefer neutered dogs, as they are less likely targets for other entire males that we may bump into on the walks.
My bitch is in season. Is this a problem?
No. We will only be able to visit and not walk your bitch while she is in season.
My dog is aggressive towards some other dogs. Is this a problem?
This will need to be discussed in each individual case, as we cannot have aggressive dogs on our walks. If the aggression can be managed, then we may be happy to walk your dog as long as it is muzzled and as long as you seek advice from a dog trainer.
My dog has sensitive stomach. Will you make sure that he does not eat anything while walking?
We can keep an eye out, however we suggest that dogs with particularly sensitive stomachs should be muzzled, as it is impossible to watch them constantly, especially if they find something interesting behind/in a bush.
My dog is not up to date with his inoculations. Is this a problem?
All dogs must be up to date with vaccinations for ALL boarding and walking.
Does my dog need to wear an identification tag?
It is a legal requirement that all dogs are tagged. Please make sure that you include a mobile number on your tag.
Do I have to pay for a walk if I cancel it?
There is no charge, unless you fail to cancel by 8.30 am on the morning of your walk.
You are about to start walking my dog on a regular basis. What do you require me to do when I leave in the morning?
Dog collar on dog, towel by front door, bedroom doors shut as necessary, water in bowl, any notes in a visible place. Payment is due on the last walk of the week. Payable by cheque or cash.
Should my dog be insured?
Yes especially if boarding or in-house sitting.
Why vaccinate my dog against Kennel Cough?
Kennel cough is a highly contagious airborne virus, which affects the dog’s respiratory tract. The coughing can last for some weeks and during this time more serious complications such as pneumonia could arise. In puppies or older dogs, or where there are other health problems, such complications can sometimes prove fatal.
I am not existing customer, but I need someone urgently to look after my dog?
No. Our boarding service is exclusive to dogs we know. By having a relationship with your dog, both the carer and the dog will understand each other, better helping your dog to settle faster. All dogs are placed with a carer depending on their character and how they would get along with other dogs, both in residence and on walks. No exceptions are made.
What if the carer who is boarding my dog is sick and unable to look after my dog?
We will organise back up immediately within our team.
When I go on holidays, will my dog still be able to join your walks when I return?
Yes, as a loyal & regular customer, we will always hold a space for your dog. There is no extra charge for this.
You are boarding my dog and my departure is delayed/return delayed. What will happen?
We will organise immediate emergency cover, within our team, until your return. Any additional days will be charged at the normal rate.
I am away will Dogaerobics come and walk my dog from my home?
Yes, providing someone is house sitting your dog and he is not left on his own in the evening/night/ or for more than 7 hours.
When/how do I pay for my bills for walking, for boarding/sitting?
All boarding requests must be sent to MJ & Sophie. We will advise you of the availability and invoice you. A 20% non refundable deposit will be due immediately and the balance is to be paid in full when you drop your dog off with her/his carer.
