DO YOU WANT TO JOIN THE DOGAEROBICS TEAM?

Wanted:   Home from Home Carers - Caring for dog(s) from your home

We are currently searching for carers to look after Dogaerobics dogs whilst their owners are away.  The bookings can be anything from a weekend break to a holiday of 2 - 4 weeks.

Are you a dog lover interested in caring for dogs within your own home?  If you're at home all day, have experience with dogs, a secure garden and able to do a minimum of 1 hours walking a day, then please contact us for a chat.  Home-from-Home caring will give you the flexibility to accept bookings in your own home, around your availability and holidays, so you can work as little or as much as you like per year.   Once you have committed to a booking, it will be your responsibility to care and walk your doggie charge on a daily basis, we ask that a dog is not left unattended for more than 3 hours a day during its stay.

Just so that you know up front, we request the following from all our home from home carers:

  • Be fully insured to walk and board dogs from your own home (we can advise)
  • Be self employed (we can advise)
  • Be police checked
  • Own a car, therefore able to pick up and drop off dogs
  • Own and use a mobile phone including text message and business cards
  • Be on e-mail and computer literate
  • Be able to commit to the flexibility required of a professional animal carer (no students or short term visitors to the UK), Part-time positions are available however only on a long term basis, as we like to provide a consistent service to all Dogaerobics customers.
  • The rest will be revealed during our follow up conversations if you decide that you would like to meet us

In-House Carers - Caring for dog(s) within their own homes

We are currently searching for in-house carers to look after Dogaerobics dogs whilst their owners are away.  The bookings can be anything from a weekend break to a holiday of 2 - 4 weeks and you will be living in the dog(s) own home day and night.

Are you an experienced dog lover interested in caring for dogs but cannot have pets in your own home?  If you're available to care for dog(s) from their own homes, not leaving him/her alone for a period longer than 3 hours and able to do a minimum of 1 hours walking a day, then please contact us for a chat.  In-house caring will give you the flexibility to accept bookings around your availability and holidays, so you can work as little or as much as you like per year.  Once you have committed to a booking, it will be your responsibility to care and walk your doggie charge on a daily basis, we ask that a dog is not left unattended for more than 3 hours a day during its stay.

Just so that you know up front, we request the following from all our in-house carers:

  • Be fully insured (we can advise) and responsible enough to live in somebody else's home
  • Be self employed (we can advise)
  • Be police checked
  • Preferably have a car or full UK driving licence
  • Own and use a mobile phone including text message and business cards
  • Be on e-mail and computer literate
  • Be able to commit to the flexibility required of a professional animal carer (no students or short term visitors to the UK), Part-time positions are available however only on a long-term basis.  This is so we can provide a consistent service to all Dogaerobics customers.
  • The rest will be revealed during our follow up conversations if you decide that you would like to meet us

FULL TIME DOG WALKERS - Monday - Friday (8am - 4 pm approx)

Thank you for getting in touch with us and for showing an interest in dog walking.

Dogaerobics is a group of freelance dog walkers/carers/cat feeders working together and acting as each others' back-up in order to maximise our reliability and our service to customers. Sophie and MJ head up this group.

From time to time we do come across people who have experience with dogs and could fit the profile of a Dogaerobics dog walker/carer. If so, we try to get to know the person as much as possible over a period of 10 to 12 weeks mainly by walking together several times a week in order to assess the suitability of the person, and for the person to assess their suitability to the job.  NB: As we work as a full time back up team, there are no part time dog walking positions available.

If you are prepared to invest the time (and energy) in walking with us for a few weeks, then do call us and arrange to meet us and our dogs in one of the local parks. We will be pleased to take you through what we do and our "philosophy" (we try to do some thinking as well as walking).

Just so that you know up front, we request that all our dog walkers, within the first three months:

  • Be fully insured.
  • Be police checked
  • Own an air-conditioned estate car professionally fitted with dog guards
  • Own and use a mobile phone including text message and business cards
  • Be on e-mail and computer literate
  • Be able, not only to walk dogs, but also to in-house sit or board dogs from your own house. (See requirements for home from home carers & In-house carers)
  • Be able to commit to the flexibility required of a professional animal carer (no students or short term visitors to the UK)
  • Do own networking/marketing in order to acquire new dogs in designated areas, using Dogaerobics business cards that we provide.
  • Walking positions are only available within the areas we currently cover.  As we work as a team, if you live outside of our current areas, you must be willing to commute
  • The rest will be revealed during our follow up conversations if you decide that you would like to meet us

If you have any questions that you would like to ask us before meeting then do not hesitate to contact us.

MJ and Sophie Langella
